Douglas Town Band Concert
Promenade Church is very fortunate to host Douglas Town Band's weekly concerts from the end of June through July. We join with the Band in celebrating their 120th year. It was formed in 1887, making them the oldest brass Band Concert on the Isle of Man.
The Band's members are true amateur enthusiasts with an age range from 8 to 90 who enjoy making music together. Musical talent is greatly encouraged, and members of the Band Concert feature frequently in the prize listings of the Manx Music Festival for solo and ensemble playing.

Prayer Circle
The Prayer Circle meets each Wednesday lunchtime in term time, in the home of Mary Lewin. It starts at 1.30pm and lasts about 20 minutes. It is a very relaxed meeting; spoken or silent prayer are both welcome.

Coach Tours
The Flower Festival Tour is on Wed, 4th July. The coach leaves at 6.45pm prompt, visiting four of the churches, with supper at Port Erin Methodist Church. The coach will return to Douglas about 10.30pm.
The Manx Miscellany tours are on the 18th July and the 15th August. These tours will take us through the Manx countryside reflecting on the Island's past and in particulare places with an association with the slave trade. The first tour will take in the west of the Island, followed by supper at Glen Maye and the second will travel to the north, with supper at Bride. Both tours leave Promenade Church at 7pm prompt, returning about 10.30pm. They will be fully guided by Frank Cowin, who will help us to explore the lives of people from the Island's past and their involvement in the slave trade.
The coach tours are very popular; you will need to book early. Booking forms can be found in the foyer of the church, or you can book via the Churches Bookshop.

Sunday Night at the Prom
A very varied programme of concerts, featuring many talented people on the Island. Admission is free and refreshments will be served following the concert.

Walk and Talk
The Walk and Talk Group meet approximately fortnightly on different nights of the week, between May and early September. It is a chance to have a chat as you walk through some of the wonderful Manx scenery. Walks tend to be around 3 miles, but the pace is very, very gentle. Everyone is most welcome, from little children all the way up.

Island Heritage
From three legs and Manx cats to the largest water wheel in the world. Step back in time and enjoy the rich culture of the Isle of Man. Local historian, Frank Cowin, will host Talk and Slide presentations of the Isle of Man's unique heritage.
