Linda Eccles has won the Christmas Card competition. Her entry of joyous angels gathered around the newborn Christ was the most popular with the judges. Linda's artwork will be made in to cards and sent out to all on the community roll.
The runners up are Rosie Shirtliff, Amanda Walker and Bev Cowley.
Packs of these 4 designs will be available for sale very soon. Monies raised from the sale of the Christmas cards will go towards the re-fit of the kitchen.

Meg and Henry would like to express sincere thanks to all the dear friends at the Promenade Church who worked so hard to support them at their recent cofee morning, seting out the hall, manning the many stalls, preparing and serving the refreshments. Without their help and those who came to the event, brought items for sale or raffle, staed to buy and enjoy the atmosphere, it would not have been possible to raise the wonderful final amount of £2,000 for the Robert Owen House at Broad Green Hospital. A big thank you to the Church.

This year, for Harvest, instead of the usual fruit and veg, we collected canned goods. These were given to Graih - the homeless drop-in centre at Broadway Baptist Church. We have received a letter of thanks from them.
Thank you all, so much for the huge amount of tins you recently dropped off at the drop-in. It's all good stuff and we've been enjoying them. It is humbling and encouraging to know that you are supporting us. The guys send their thanks! You are saints, and God uses us all for his Glory. May he bless you all richly.

There will be a joint Advent service at Willaston Methodist Church on the first Sunday in Advent, 2nd of December 2007. Previously, the time had been advertised as 4pm; this has been changed to 3pm.
